Since childhood I have studied art. My training was primarily in drawing and painting. I studied at the Art Students League as a child, and with private teachers along the way. I majored in art at Boston University School of Fine Art. It was there that I studied drawing under Conger Metcalf, who I consider to be my mentor. I then studied at Parsons School of Design. Many years later I started to sculpt. for me, it was a match made in heaven. My creativity blossomed with this medium. It took over my life. I studied clay modeling with Martine Vaugel, both in Westchester and a summer workshop in France. The following year I did a stone carving workshop in Pietrasanta, Italy. I have also taken several classes in anatomy. One with Sherry Camhy and an ecorche anatomy class with David Klass.

My work has been accepted into many outstanding juried shows, i.e, Allied Artists of America, Professional Artists League, Hudson Vally Artists. I have had the honor of winnng many awards. I have also had the pleasure of doing commissions, one is a life size monument which is to be erected in Port au Prince, Haiti. This monument will have 5 revolutionary figures, commemorating a scene at the battle of Savannah. Another commission piece is "Toro". My sculptures are in corporate and private collections.
